DocuSource Gets FSC Certification

Kathy Murchison, President and CEO of DocuSource of NC, LLC, announced that DocuSource is now a certified FSC provider. The company met all criteria and passed the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) inspection at the end of February and has received the official paperwork with our company-specific ID number.

“Our company is very excited to be doing our part to help sustain our environment,” said Kathy Murchison, President and CEO. “We have to take steps today to make sure we have a future tomorrow and the Forest Stewardship Council is taking the lead with regard to responsible use of the world’s forests. We all must be more aware of the impact we make on the earth in both our personal and professional lives and implement processes to reduce our footprint.”

The Forest Stewardship Council was created to change the dialogue about and the practice of sustainable forestry worldwide and to coordinate the development of forest management standards throughout the different biogeographic regions of the U.S. From a printing perspective, in using FSC certified papers, a “chain of custody” is used to track the paper all the way back to the FSC certified forest in which the source trees were located.
